Image Posting Rules
General Rules
Capture Community Events
Images must be from events happening in Rockbridge county, or from nearby events run by organizations located in Rockbridge county.
Respect for Privacy
No pictures should have close-ups of minors. A picture of a crowd that happens to include younger people is fine, but a closeup of kids is not. For images including a minor in the background, the legal guardians of said minor may request that the post be taken down if that individual isn’t blurred.
Promote Positivity
Keep it positive! This site is about uplifting the community by building bridges between the people living here. Inflammatory or overly negative posting will lead to revoked posting access. Persistent negative comments will lead to a user ban.
Optimize Posting Efficiency
To maintain efficiency of the site’s speed, only 3-5 images will be allowed in a single post (based on image size). Please don’t make several posts about the same event and clog the feed, instead, choose your very favorite pictures for one or two posts!
Encourage Community Engagement
Promoting how your business was involved with an event is allowed, but explicit advertising is not. We want to highlight the ways that local businesses are getting involved with the community, but don’t want volunteering events buried under advertisements.
