Our Values
Rockbridger is an initiative to create and maintain an online community hub for Rockbridge county. United Way Rockbridge is backing this program in collaboration with Cadence Edmonds. The UWR website is available here.
Our Impact
The website seeks, first and foremost, to improve resource sharing in our community with respect to volunteers and the nonprofits that need them. Nonprofits and pre-approved organizations will be able to create events that individuals may view and sign up for. These events will then be available through a search function, chronological feed, and community calendar. The community event calendar will aggregate events from all throughout the community, working to draw the attention of non-volunteering individuals to the volunteer needs here.
Get Involved
Additionally, community members will be able to find and message nonprofits directly for help inquiries, which will then be routed through email. With the accessible combination of these features, Rockbridger hopes to provide additional support for nonprofits and the people they serve here
